NEWBORN CROCHET HAT FREE PATTERN When I started to crochet I made simple pieces that I could use on my photography sessions. Here is an easy pattern that you can follow if you are new to crocheting. Abbreviations: DC (double crochet) Materials: 5.00 mm crochet hook Yarn (I used red heart super saver) Scissors Yarn Needle. * Remember newborn size fits the baby during the first two weeks only. Row 1) Make a magic ring. Chain 3 and 9 DC on the magic circle, Slip stitch. Row 2) Chain 3, make 2DC on each stitch, Slip stitch. Row 3) Chain 3,  1DC, 2 DC into the next stitch (repeat around), Slip stitch. Row 4) Chain 3, DC into the next 2, 2DC into the next (repeat around), Slip Stitch Row 5) Chain 3, DC into each stitch (repeat around), Slip Stitch. Row 6) Same as row 5 Row 7) Same as row 5 Row 8) Same as row 5 Row 9) Same as row 5. Row 10) Chain 1 slip stitch into each stitch around (loosely).  And you finish!!! You can add
